Accept skin deposits
Receive skins from your users and credit their settled value to your SkinsNode balance.
Before you start
- Obtain client credentials and confirm deposit access and commercial terms during onboarding.
- Authenticate your user, obtain consent and collect their SteamID64 and matching trade URL.
- Set up a public HTTPS webhook receiver.
Integration sequence
- 1
Price the user's inventory
Request a quote with partnerSteamId and tradeUrl. Store the returned quoteId.
- 2
Wait for the quote, then select skins
Poll with backoff until ready. Show only sellable items, their creditAmountCents and the quote expiry. Keep exact asset and phase identities.
- 3
Create the deposit
Send selected itemId values, expectedCreditAmountCents, your externalId and webhookUrl. Store the accepted transaction. A 202 response is not a completed trade.
- 4
Track the trade and settlement
Receive deposit.updated events; use bounded polling for recovery. The user accepts the Steam trade. Received skins remain pending during trade protection.
- 5
Recognize available credit
Only success with creditStatus: available and walletTransactionId proves the balance credit. Handle reversals and duplicate events.
Prices and quote acceptance
3991 means USD 39.91. The quoted credit is final after commercial adjustments; no extra fee is added at acceptance. Unpriced items have a null amount and are unavailable, not free.
Expired quotes or changed prices require a new quote and user acceptance. Each deposit is one all-or-nothing Steam trade, with at most 100 distinct items.
